Mirror Of Time

MIRROR OF TIME
Songwriter (Text & Musik): (c) Marina Salamon

Once upon a time I felt so sad. I was so alone.
I only saw what was bad. Life was a tragedy-tome.
And because of all my tears my eyes couldn't hope to see
the beauty surrounding them until I met the wise man.
He said "Take off your shoe and take off your pain and put it in your little shoe.
If you have the will you can get free. You'll lose your depressions very soon.
But don't expect that you can checkmate the problems. Do you understand?
The mirror of time will show that I am right."

And in all my lonely nights when I dream of warmth and love
I take the dust of these sleepless nights and put it in my little shoe:
There are the dreams still left but now I can bear
the troubles. I can live with them. They don't make me feel blue.
And I take off my shoe and take off my pain and put it in my little shoe.
Now I have the will to get free. I lost my depressions very soon.
I don't expect that black turns into white. But maybe very soon
the mirror of time will show that I am right.

Now I don't need him anyhow. He cannot hurt me no more.
I left this merry-go-round at last. I'm not dizzy, things are plain to see.
And because of all the light which I do feel inside
the sky is clearing, clouds disappear. If they come back I'll think of the wise man.

And I will take off my shoe and I will take the clouds and put it in my little shoe.
I'll have the will like I have it now. I'll lose my depressions very soon.
That's what I expect, that's what I want. And maybe very soon
the mirror of time will show that I do right, show that I do right.
