LITTLE BIRD’s SONG Songwriter (Text & Musik): (c) Marina Salamon
A little bird was trying to fly in the dawn of an early day.
So many trials and at last he won: he was hovering in the sky. Hey, little bird, why don't you fly anymore? Now your time is over. You can't see the clover of the meadow behind the small wood.
The little bird's lovely singing resounded in the wood.
And hidden people lingered to hear him, delighted by his voice. Hey, little bird, why don't you sing anymore? Though your life is now over I still think of the clover on the meadow where you always sang.
The little bird's life was hard but he was glad that he could live.
He had to brave all his foes. He was proud he was able to survive. Hey, little bird, why don't you live anymore? Now your life is over though you saw the clover for only such a short time.
Thunder storms were putting an end to the unsuspicious little bird.
He had no chance to defend himself against the rain and the wind. Hey, little bird, why don't you live anymore? Now your life is all over, now you're lying under the clover of the meadow you liked to see so much.
Hey, little bird, why don't you live anymore?
Now your life is all over, now you're lying under the clover of the meadow behind the small wood.
